In-Person Mahjong Classes & Lessons

Expert-led, small-group Mahjong classes offered in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Central Valley (Riverbank, Modesto, and nearby cities).

We offer two levels of in-person instruction:

Beginner Foundations (2.5 Hours) — For new and returning players who want clear structure, real understanding, and confident gameplay. After every session, students receive access to our Class Recap page, where you can review the full lesson walkthrough and reinforce the fundamentals at your own pace.

    Advanced Strategy & Fans (2 Hours) — For players who already know the basics and want sharper decision-making, stronger hand development, and a deeper understanding of fans.

    Each class is hands-on, structured, and thoughtfully designed to help you think strategically — not just memorize rules.

    Yes. Our online mahjong classes are designed for beginners and returning players, with structured modules, guided explanations, and practice tools to help you build confidence step by step.
    Do I need a physical mahjong set to start?
    No. You can begin with the lessons and online practice tools. A physical mahjong set is helpful later, but not required to get started.
    How long does the online mahjong course take?
    The program is organized into 12 modules with 4 lessons per week. Many students follow the full path over several weeks, then revisit lessons and practice hands as needed.
    What’s the difference between online and in-person mahjong classes?
