A Mahjong Host organizes the group. Mahjong Academy provides the instruction, Mahjong sets, materials, and guided gameplay experience.
This program is ideal for:
- friends and family groups
- neighborhood gatherings
- community clubs
- social groups
- adult enrichment activities
- workplace social events
- beginner Mahjong parties
- private Mahjong gatherings
- 50+ and senior recreation groups
Our goal is to make Mahjong approachable, engaging, and socially enriching for complete beginners.
How It Works
Step 1 — Organize Your Group
Invite friends, family members, neighbors, or coworkers interested in learning Mahjong together at a fun and social Mahjong gathering.
Step 2 — Meet the Minimum Group Size
At least 4 paid participants are required to qualify as an official Mahjong Party Host gathering. The host may attend free of charge depending on group size and timing.
This group size helps create a lively learning environment and allows participants to practice Mahjong in a real table setting.
Step 3 — We Teach the Experience
Mahjong Academy handles the teaching and setup so the host can relax and enjoy the event.
We provide:
- guided Mahjong instruction
- Mahjong sets and materials
- beginner-friendly teaching
- hands-on gameplay support
- printed learning materials and reference guides
- structured social learning experience
Hosts do not need any prior Mahjong experience.
Step 4 — Host Rewards
Qualified hosts receive a Mahjong Host Starter Kit after hosting a qualifying Mahjong party or Mahjong gathering.
Mahjong Host Starter Kit
The Starter Kit includes:
- a Mahjong set (for qualifying hosts with a minimum of 7 participants)
- beginner reference materials
- quick-start learning resources
- Mahjong Academy access
- future host opportunities
The Starter Kit is designed to help hosts continue bringing people together and support future Mahjong gatherings in their own community.
What Participants Receive
All participants receive:
- beginner-friendly Mahjong instruction
- guided hands-on gameplay
- printed learning materials and reference guides
- two weeks of Mahjong Academy Student Access including AI training
- invitation to our local Mahjong Players Network
Participants leave with a clearer understanding of how Mahjong works and a pathway to keep learning and playing after the gathering.
Join the Mahjong Players Network
One of the biggest challenges for beginners is finding people to continue playing with after learning Mahjong.
As part of the Mahjong Party Host Program, all participants become part of our growing Mahjong Players Network — a community designed to help connect new learners, casual players, hosts, and future Mahjong gatherings.
The Mahjong Players Network provides opportunities for:
- future Mahjong gatherings
- guided practice opportunities
- community events
- social play sessions
- continued Mahjong learning
- meeting other local Mahjong players
The goal is not simply learning Mahjong once — it’s becoming part of an ongoing Mahjong community, Mahjong gathering network, and social learning experience.
Why Host a Mahjong Party?
A Mahjong party is more than a game night. It is a social learning experience that brings people together around strategy, conversation, and shared discovery.
Mahjong encourages:
- strategic thinking
- pattern recognition
- social interaction
- mental engagement
- lifelong learning
- community connection
Our Mahjong parties and gatherings are designed to make Mahjong welcoming, modern, and accessible for today’s adult learners.

Space and Setup
You do not need a formal classroom to host a Mahjong party. Many gatherings work well in homes, clubhouses, community rooms, offices, patios, or recreation spaces.
A standard Mahjong setup usually works best with one table for every four players. Mahjong Academy can help adapt the setup based on your available space and group size.
We bring the Mahjong sets and learning materials, and we help guide the flow of the gathering from introduction to hands-on play.
