TableMatch Participant Agreement & Waiver

Please review this Agreement before requesting or accepting a seat at a Community Hosted table through HeyMahjong TableMatch.
This TableMatch Participant Agreement & Waiver (“Agreement”) is between Yeenova LLC dba HeyMahjong (“HeyMahjong”) and the individual requesting, accepting, or attending a seat at a Community Hosted table through TableMatch (“Participant”).
Community Hosted tables are independently organized by Community Hosts. HeyMahjong provides TableMatch as a service to help Mahjong players and hosts discover and connect with one another. A Community Hosted table is not a Mahjong Academy class or an event organized, operated, or supervised by HeyMahjong.
1. Voluntary Participation
I voluntarily choose to use TableMatch and to request, accept, or attend a Community Hosted gathering.
I understand that Community Hosted tables may take place in private residences, community spaces, clubs, commercial properties, or other locations selected by the Community Host.
I am responsible for deciding whether a particular gathering, Host, location, or interaction is appropriate for me.
2. Age Requirement
I represent that I am at least 18 years old.
Community Hosted TableMatch tables are currently limited to Hosts and Participants who are at least 18 years old.
3. Independent Community Hosted Gatherings
I understand that a Community Hosted table is independently organized and hosted by the Community Host.
HeyMahjong provides the TableMatch platform to help Hosts and Participants discover and connect with one another.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, HeyMahjong does not organize, operate, supervise, control, or host a Community Hosted gathering.
The Community Host is not an employee, contractor, agent, representative, partner, or volunteer of HeyMahjong or Mahjong Academy merely because the Host uses TableMatch.
4. Hosts, Participants, and Venues
I understand that HeyMahjong does not guarantee the identity, background, conduct, reliability, compatibility, attendance, or safety of a Community Host or another TableMatch Participant unless expressly stated otherwise.
A person’s presence on TableMatch, ability to post a table, or ability to request or receive a seat does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, background check, or guarantee by HeyMahjong.
I understand that HeyMahjong may not own, operate, inspect, or control the private residence or other venue selected by a Community Host.
I am responsible for using reasonable judgment when deciding whether to attend or remain at a gathering.
5. Private Homes, Privacy, and House Rules
Some Community Hosted tables may take place in private homes or other privately controlled spaces.
If I attend such a gathering, I agree to:
- respect the Host, venue, and Host’s property
- follow reasonable house and venue rules
- remain within areas made available to Participants
- not bring additional or uninvited guests without the Host’s permission
- not share the Host’s private address, gate code, access instructions, or other nonpublic location information with unauthorized persons
- promptly notify the Host of accidental property damage or safety concerns
- leave the space in substantially the condition in which I found it
An invitation to attend a Community Hosted table does not give me permission to enter or access other areas of the Host’s property.
6. Participant Conduct and Responsibility
I agree to comply with the HeyMahjong Community Guidelines and to conduct myself in a respectful and reasonably safe manner.
I understand that I am responsible for my own acts and omissions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, I may be responsible for injury, loss, or property damage caused by my own negligent, reckless, intentional, or wrongful conduct.
I understand that the Host may ask me to leave the premises when the Host reasonably determines that doing so is appropriate, subject to applicable law and HeyMahjong policies.
7. Free Community Play
Community Hosted TableMatch tables are currently intended for free community play.
I understand that a Community Host may not require an admission fee, hosting fee, participation fee, or other mandatory charge in connection with a Community Hosted table unless HeyMahjong expressly introduces or authorizes a separate paid-hosting program.
A Community Hosted listing should not be interpreted as a HeyMahjong-sponsored event or Mahjong Academy class.
If I am asked to pay an undisclosed or unauthorized mandatory participation fee, I may decline and report the issue to HeyMahjong.
8. Assumption of Risk
I understand that attending an in-person gathering involving people discovered through a community platform involves ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks.
These may include risks associated with traveling to and from the gathering, entering and leaving the premises, slips, trips, falls, furniture or equipment, conditions at a private residence or other venue, and interacting with Hosts and other Participants whom I may not previously have met.
I voluntarily choose to participate with knowledge of these ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I knowingly and voluntarily assume the ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks associated with my participation in a Community Hosted gathering.
9. Release of Liability — Please Read Carefully
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY CALIFORNIA LAW, I RELEASE AND DISCHARGE YEENOVA LLC DBA HEYMAHJONG, AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS, FROM CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO MY VOLUNTARY USE OF TABLEMATCH OR MY PARTICIPATION IN OR ATTENDANCE AT AN INDEPENDENTLY ORGANIZED COMMUNITY HOSTED GATHERING.
THIS RELEASE INCLUDES CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF A RELEASED PARTY TO THE EXTENT SUCH CLAIMS MAY LAWFULLY BE RELEASED.
This release does not apply to gross negligence, reckless or intentional misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be waived.
10. Community Host and Premises
I understand that the Community Host independently controls the premises and the gathering.
HeyMahjong is not the Host’s property insurer and does not guarantee the condition, accessibility, security, or suitability of a Host’s private residence or other independently selected venue.
Nothing in this Agreement prevents me from pursuing rights or remedies I may lawfully have against a person responsible for injury, property damage, or other wrongful conduct.
11. Personal Property
I am responsible for safeguarding my own personal belongings while attending a Community Hosted gathering.
HeyMahjong does not guarantee against theft, loss, or damage to personal property occurring at an independently hosted gathering.
If another person damages or takes my property, I understand that any resulting dispute may be a matter between me and the person or persons involved.
HeyMahjong is not obligated to resolve or mediate private property disputes between community members.
12. Transportation
I am responsible for arranging and evaluating my own transportation to and from a Community Hosted gathering.
HeyMahjong does not provide transportation as part of TableMatch.
Transportation independently arranged between Hosts or Participants is not transportation provided by HeyMahjong.
13. Alcohol, Gambling, and Illegal Activity
Hosts and Participants are responsible for complying with applicable laws and venue requirements.
If alcohol is present at an independently hosted gathering, I am responsible for my own decisions and conduct and for complying with applicable law.
Community Hosted tables listed through TableMatch may not require real-money wagering, gambling, or betting as a condition of participation.
Illegal activity, illegal drugs, and conduct creating an unreasonable risk to others are prohibited in connection with TableMatch.
14. Emergency Medical Assistance
If a medical emergency occurs, I understand that the Community Host, another Participant, or another person present may contact emergency services.
HeyMahjong does not provide medical services or emergency response services in connection with independently hosted Community Tables.
I am responsible for medical or emergency-service costs incurred on my behalf to the extent provided by applicable law.
15. Reporting Safety or Conduct Concerns
If there is an immediate threat to personal safety or another emergency, I will contact the appropriate local emergency services first.
I understand that HeyMahjong is not an emergency response service.
Serious misconduct, harassment, privacy concerns, unsafe behavior, or violations of the HeyMahjong Community Guidelines may also be reported to:
16. Community Guidelines
I agree to comply with the HeyMahjong Community Guidelines.
I understand that HeyMahjong may remove a listing, cancel or restrict a seat request, restrict access to TableMatch, suspend participation, or take other reasonable platform actions when this Agreement, the Community Guidelines, or other applicable terms are violated.
HeyMahjong is not obligated to monitor or supervise Community Hosted gatherings or mediate private disputes between Hosts and Participants.
17. No Guarantee of Results or Experience
HeyMahjong does not guarantee that a particular table will occur as scheduled, that a Host or Participant will attend, that Participants will be compatible, or that I will have any particular experience or outcome.
I understand that TableMatch is a community connection service and that individual experiences will vary.
18. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
19. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
20. Acknowledgment and Acceptance
I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND UNDERSTAND THAT COMMUNITY HOSTED TABLES ARE INDEPENDENTLY ORGANIZED GATHERINGS AND ARE NOT EVENTS ORGANIZED, OPERATED, OR SUPERVISED BY HEYMAHJONG OR MAHJONG ACADEMY.
I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS AGREEMENT CONTAINS AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND THAT, BY ACCEPTING IT, I MAY BE GIVING UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.
Electronic Acceptance
☐ I have read and understand the TableMatch Participant Agreement & Waiver and voluntarily agree to its terms, including the Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability, Version 1.0, dated August 14, 2026.
I also agree to the HeyMahjong Community Guidelines.
