Hey Mahjong started as something simple—a way to reconnect with my mom through something she loved. Growing up, I’d hear the rhythmic clack of tiles and the warm laughter of her friends around the kitchen table. Mahjong isn’t just a game—it is her joy, her ritual, and her connection to home.

As my mom grew older, I realized I wanted to help her share that joy with others. So I learned the game, studied the rules, watched her play, and eventually started teaching it myself. What began as a passion project for my family has become a growing community of curious beginners, strategic thinkers, and cultural connectors.
